DomusBase
A private home-management portal that brings property records, maintenance workflows, household contacts, and AI-assisted information retrieval into one place.
DomusBase is a private home-management application I designed to replace the mix of notes, messages, documents, and memory that often surrounds property operations. It is intended for homeowners and small family-run portfolios that need one dependable place to find information and coordinate recurring work.
The deployed application combines an editable property dashboard with sections for repairs and maintenance, contractors, finances, tenants and leases, inventory, equipment procedures, yard care, neighbors, tasks, and recent activity. Unit-level filtering helps separate records within a property. A repair workflow supports active items, status changes, notes, replacement planning, and cost fields, while dedicated views organize operational details such as utility accounts, insurance, taxes, service contracts, and device manuals.
Two AI-assisted workflows address different needs. Property Chat answers questions using records already stored in DomusBase. Add Info accepts pasted text, PDF files, or Word documents, proposes structured changes, and lets the user review which changes to apply. A separate Help Center answers navigation and workflow questions without accessing household records; it also collects bug reports and feature requests, with an optional image attachment.
I shaped the product around real property-management workflows, defined the information architecture and safety boundaries, and directed an iterative AI-assisted implementation. The application uses Next.js and React, Supabase for authentication and data, and Anthropic models for its conversational and document-analysis features. Database row-level security and authenticated server routes protect the private portal.
DomusBase is live on Vercel behind sign-in and continues to evolve. The current production version is a private, single-household tool. Shared portfolio membership, per-property scoping, and owner-managed invitations are active engineering work, not capabilities claimed for the deployed release. Broader ideas such as local-service sourcing and autonomous customization remain future concepts.
